Winter Olympics Posters

The free resources below include 15 posters linked to one of the events in the Winter Olympics. There are three sets: one includes information about each event, one has a blank box (which children can use to add their own text) and one only shows the image and event name.

Use these resources in your own classroom in some of the following ways:

  • Print the posters and add them to a display board about the Winter Olympics.
  • Let children use the information posters for independent research about the topic.
  • Give children a copy of the posters (with the blank boxes) and ask them to add their own information. This could be used as a class or homework activity.
  • Let children choose one of the Winter Olympic events and ask them to make their own poster about it.
  • Challenge pupils to use presentation / publishing software to create a poster about a Winter Olympic event.
  • Create a sports report about one of the Winter Olympic events... could your children find out the results of one of the events and make a radio / TV report about it?

If you have more ideas about how these ideas could be used in the classroom, tell us in the comments...
